Regents Professor Jeremy Kilpatrick is co-chairing a committee on mathematics and science education for the National Academy of Education's Education Policy White Papers Project, a series of reports giving evidence-based advice on major education policy issues to the incoming administration and Congress.

New Report Cites Elementary Ed Program as ‘Exemplary’
A study by the National Council on Teacher Quality cites UGA’s elementary education program alone as “exemplary” in preparing future educators to teach mathematics. The report rated 77 education schools in 49 states by studying entrance and exit requirements, course syllabi, textbooks, tests, and state licensing tests.
