Oliver Leads $1.3 Million NIH Project to Develop 3D Animated Biology Lessons

Steve Oliver, associate head of the department of mathematics and science education, leads a project to create and evaluate the use of 3D animated biology lessons for high school students in hopes of enticing more of them to choose careers in science.

New Report Cites Elementary Ed Program as ‘Exemplary’

A study by the National Council on Teacher Quality cites UGA’s elementary education program alone as “exemplary” in preparing future educators to teach mathematics. The report rated 77 education schools in 49 states by studying entrance and exit requirements, course syllabi, textbooks, tests, and state licensing tests.
