Instructions for the Dice-and-Disease Simulation

The simulation consists of at least five stages, and each stage lasts for about two minutes, with a short break between each stage.

Steps:

  1. Record your identification number on your data record sheet.

  2. During each stage, walk around the room and establish contact with other students, that is, exchange identification numbers and record the numbers in your data sheet.

  3. Determine if your encounter was a risky encounter: Roll your dice. If the sum of the two rolls is less or equal to 5, your encounter was a risky encounter. Circle your partner's identification number on your data sheet.

  4. Repeat Steps 1-3 until the phase ends.

  5. Repeat Steps 1-4 for the remaining phases.
