Bio for

Johnie Valeska Forsythe

I am a native of Jackson, Mississippi where I was raised by a wonderful family of educators! I attended the illustrious Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU) where I earned a B.S. in Mathematics Education and a minor in African American Studies. I am currently pursuing a M.Ed. in Mathematics Education at the University of Georgia. Here at UGA, I am a graduate assistant in the Department of Mathematics and Science Education.

After obtaining a Masters degree, I plan on teaching mathematics at the secondary school level. Where? I currently do not have a clue, but I am open to suggestions! After teaching, I hope to work in administration at the secondary school level.
