The assessment for this set of lessons will be divided into two parts. The first part will be the construction of the conics and then the algebraic and geometric proofs that these constructions are that conic. The second part will be will be an objective question exam.
· Using the instructions that you were given in the earlier lesson and GSP, construct a parabola. Prove that this construction is a parabola by using the definition of a parabola. Do this both algebraically and geometrically.
· Do the same using the instructions for an ellipse.
· Do the same using the instructions for a hyperbola.
