I am currently working as a full-time lecturer and educational researcher and Director of the Center for the Advancement of Mathematics Education at University of Antioquia, in Medellin, Colombia. Besides, I am a member of GECEM Research Group in Sciences and Math Education and I am also a member of Red de Educadores en Matematicas. I hold a Bachelor of Education degree in Mathematics and Physics from University of Antioquia in Medellin, Colombia, a MA in Statistics from the National University of Colombia and a MA in Educational Assessment and Evaluation from University of Manizales in Colombia. Besides that, I have worked as a teacher, instructional designer, and educational researcher.

I have had the opportunity to function in a variety of educational settings and I have had experience in principles of teaching and learning, a wide experience in education and training. In addition, I have worked for public and private institutions in elementary and high school levels; I worked at Municipio de Medellin, and at Suarez de la Presentacion.

Additionally, I have trained Tae Kwon Do for 8 years and I am a member of the "Club de Tae Kwon Do de la Universidad Nacional de Colombia sede Medellin"
