I am from Atlanta and have lived in Georgia all my life. My parents recently retired and spend their time boating off the Georgia coast. I have an older brother, Chandler, who is in the Air Force and is currently stationed in Las Vegas, Nevada. I am also very fortunate to have the most wonderful boyfriend, Dominic Valentino, who is studying for his Masters in Mathematical Risk Management at Georgia State and working for Progressive Insurance as an Actuarial Analyst.
I am currently a Master of Education degree student at The University of Georgia. I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics and a minor in Music (focus on Cello) from UGA in 2006. As an undergraduate student, I worked as an actuarial intern for St. Paul Travelers in Connecticut and then as a Pricing Analyst for Progressive Insurance before realizing that the work was not fulfilling to me. Teaching and working with youth are a passion of mine, which ultimately led to my enrollment in the College of Education at UGA.
Aside from mathematics and playing the cello, I also enjoy spending time with Dominic, boating with my family, mountain biking, hiking, camping, and traveling!
