Orthic Triangle by: Aubrey

An orthic triangle has the minimum perimeter of any triangle inscribed in a given acute triangle (according to Mathworld.wolfram.com)

To create the triangle, right click once and drage to create the base in any desired direction. The move up (or down) to create the peak of the triangle. You have now created an orthic triangle. Notice that the orthocenter of the larger triangle is also the incenter of the smaller triangle. Some people also call the smaller triangle a pedal triangle. You can also play with the one I have already created to see what happens to both triangles as the size changes. Enjoy!
