Heron's Formula

Prove Heron's Formula for the area of any triangle given the lengths of the three sides of the triangle.

Let triangle ABC be any given triangle with arbitrary side lengths a, b, and c. We know that the area of a triangle can be calculated using the formulaf1, where b is the base of the triangle and h is the height. Let’s look at the following triangle:
