The Promise

This is the first quilt we designed together. It features highlights from the many speeches Barack Obama made as he campaigned and accepted his nomination for the presidency.
We began creating historical quilts for viewers to learn and appreciate history in a unique and artistic way.
Researching and designing has not only enhanced our quilting techniques, creativity, and visualization skill, but improved our understanding of geometrical relationships and use of technology. We create designs on powerpoint or geometers sketchpad, enlarge the designs to use as patterns, and make changes along the way.
