Ángel M. Carreras Jusino

Playa_BoqueronI was born and raised in the beautiful island of Puerto Rico, particularly in the southwest coast in the cities of Mayagüez and Cabo Rojo. In the latter I have spend most of my life, until I left, in August 2011, to UGA to initiate my studies leading to a Ph.D. in Mathematics Education. From Puerto Rico, I brought to Athens my lovely wife, Anangélica Rivera; my dog, Sassie; and my cat, Kiki.

In terms of my education I received a B.S. in Mathematics Education from the University of Puerto Rico, a M.Ed. in Mathematics Education from Cambridge College, and a M.A. in Applied Mathematics from the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico.

I taught mathematics for 7 years in the Escuela San Germán Interamericana the courses of Algebra, Geometry, Advanced Mathematics, Precalculus, Number Theory, and Probability. Also I have the opportunity to teach at the University of Puerto Rico and the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico introductory math courses.
