Apples & Bananas
Here are a few experiments to see
Fibonacci numbers in fruit.
An Apple A Day . . .

Take an apple and cut it at the "equator"
(assuming that the north pole is where the stem is).

Now look at each half and make observations
about the seeds.

Suprise!!!! There is Fibonacci's
number!
We're All Bananas!!!!

First count how many flat surfaces
there are on the banana.
-
Then, peel it, and cut it in half (not
lengthwise).

Now look at the inside! Fibonacci
numbers pop up again!
