Angles A and B and the length of b + c
By: Tim Lehman

Given:

Construction:

Construct triangle AYZ such that angle A is equal to the given angle A and angle Y is equal to the given angle B. Thus, triangle AYZ is similar to triangle ABC.

Because of the similarity of AYZ and ABC, AZ is to b as YZ is to c. Thus, we can use AZ and ZY to find the lengths of b and c. With the lengths of b and c, the vertices B and C can then be found and triangle ABC can be constructed.
