A little bit about me....

I was born and raised in Atlanta, GA. I have two sisters - one older, one younger, a mom and a dad. I have a crazy dog named Maize, who's name should be "Maize-no"! I enjoy running, photography, and just about anything that lets me be outside.

For my undergraduate studies, I attended SMU in Dallas, TX. I majored in Broadcast Journalism - which yes, has absolutely nothing to do with mathematics. After college, I spent a year teaching water skiing in Mexico, Florida and the Bahamas. (not too bad!) Then I decided it was time to get going with a career.

I found a job at The Galloway School in Atlanta as an assistant teacher. I assisted teaching mathematics and social studies to sixth graders as well as teaching one ninth-grade algebra class. I fell in love with the job. At the end of the year, I was hooked. I was offered me the lead position for the class I had assisted and stayed at Galloway two more years.

I had been taking classes at night and during the summers and this year, I decided it was time to obtain my certification and masters. I have been at UGA for a year and will finish the Masters Program this summer. I am looking forward to getting back into the classroom.
