The Ellipse in Nature
This is
culmination of all the exercises in this project. Here are a few examples of
when, how, and why an ellipse occurs in nature. Again this is a work in progress
and I hope to add a few subjects before I really begin to teach a class on this
subject. Another note is that I’m not a scientist (or brilliant mathematician
for that matter) so if along the way you see something that doesn’t make sense
or is not correct then I apologize. This is only meant to give a small
introduction to high school students about the universe that they live and
interact in everyday.
