I am currently enjoying my second career. My first 20 or so years working were
spent building computer simulators and simulations for some small companies (maybe
you have heard of them) Boeing
Missiles and NASA.
I must say that this was a 'blast' in many
ways. I was able to be involved
with the designs and development of such systems as the remote manipulator arm
for NASA and a variety of different type of ballistic missiles.
My second career, I shall spend working and helping shape young minds in the
world of mathematics. This seems to a very 'ballistic' environment. Working
with teenagers is definitely state of the art and a challenge. Each day in school I find a new
and exciting challenge. Where it
will lead I do not know, but for now I will plug along and perhaps reach
someone somewhere.
