SOME IDEAS FOR TEACHING MATHEMATICS

In the last few months at the UGA I have learnt a few interesting things which may be of use to students in both middle and high schools. For want of a better classification, I am going to have just two. Maybe, down the line, if a narrower categorization is needed, I will add a few more.

So for now, let us look at some interesting features in GEOMETRY and ALGEBRA.

ALGEBRA

INSTANT SQUARES

PYTHAGORAS PROOF, AN ALGEBRAIC APPROACH

A STRANGE RESULT

GEOMETRY

CONSTRUCTING SQUARE ROOTS
