First things firstÉI love
teaching and I love mathematics.
My goal is to have an article published in a mathematics education
journal by the end of next year (2004).
LetŐs hope I do it!!
I was born in Commerce, GA
which is about 20 miles from Athens.
Though I grew up around nothing but Bulldog fans, I have always been an
adamant and dedicated Commerce Tiger and later an even more vehement Clemson
Tiger. I am a proud 1998 graduate of Clemson University with a
Bachelor of Science in Mathematics Teaching. I planned to live and work in South Carolina until love
entered my life and my then boyfriend, now husband persuaded me to move back to
Georgia and begin my teaching career and our life together. I have been here since May of 1998 and
in my short 6 years of teaching, I have taught at three high schools. My first school was Redan High
School. When I got married, we
moved to northern Gwinnett County and I started my second teaching year at
North Gwinnett High School. After
deciding to make a semi-permanent home in Georgia, we purchased a home in
Loganville, GA and I am now teaching at Grayson High School. I absolutely love my school,
neighborhood, and especially my students.
Grayson is a wonderful place to work and an excellent place to send your
child to get an education.
In my personal life, my
husband and I are planning to be pregnant by the end of the year and have our
first child sometime in September of next year. Wish us luck!!!
