Exploring centroids of triangles- Doug Griffin

We will use geometers sketchpad to construct the centroid of a triangle. We begin by constructing a triangle and constructing the midpoint of the 3 sides.We then construct line segements from each of the vertices of the triangle to the midpoint of the opposite side. This gives us the following picture:

J is the constructed centroid of this triangle. Now we may wish to see how the centroid of a triangle moves around as the triangle takes on different shapes.
