Dawn M. Laning
I am a 1993 graduate of Morrow High School in Morrow, Georgia. After
high school, I enrolled in Georgia Southern
University as a Bell Honor's Program Scholar. I earned my Bachelor of
Science in Mathematics (cum laude ) and my T-4 Certification (7-12)
for Georgia Public Schools.
I entered the Masters of Education Program in Mathematics Education at the
University of Georgia in the Fall of 1997.
I plan to complete the program in one year and begin teaching in the Fall
of 1998.
I met my boyfriend David Avant in the Honor's Program at Georgia Southern
in Statesboro, Georgia. We have
been dating for 4 years. He is also at UGA working on his MS in Computer
Science.
My family now lives in McDonough, Georgia. I live with my father (Mort),
stepmother (Sandy), and my sister Ashley, age 11. Ashley cheers in our
hometown on a recreation team, the McDonough Cougars. She attends McDonough
Middle School and loves Snoopy.
