Write a letter to one of "your" companies requesting information about the company.

Make a graph showing how the price of one particular stock has fluctuated during this activity.

Talk to your parents about stocks. Do they own any? If so, ask to see the stock certificates. Why did your parents choose to buy these particular stocks? How has their value changed over the years?

Write a short report on one of "your" companies. Tell what the company does or makes. Show pictures of its products or samples of its advertisements. Tell where it is located, how big it is in relation to other companies in its field, how long it has been in business, etc.

Visit a real bank to see how one operates.

Visit a stock exchange to see how one operates.

Make a graph showing your daily worth over the period of this activity.

Talk to your parents about banking. Do they have a checking account? How do they balance it? What happens to a check after it has been cashed? What other services does the local bank provide to your family?

You and your teacher may want to use your imaginations to dream up other projects.
