PROBLEM: Cryptorithms

Problems: In these problems, each letter represents a digit, and different letters represent different digits. You are to find which digit each letter represents. Some problems have more than one solution.

Solution 1:

FOUR = 3481andTEN = 295.

Solution 2:FOUR = 6241andTEN = 395.

I will come back to these problems now and then because they make one think about the actual operations being performed in the problem. These type of problems really makes one understand the operations of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
