Constructing a Technology-Rich Lesson Inscribed Angles
I. Objectives
To identify inscribed angles from things that are not.
To compare acute, right, and obtuse inscribed angles.
To recall the connection that arc measure refers to part of a
circle and angle measure is based on central angles as intercepting
part of circle.
To extend the connection to show that inscribed angles measure 1/2 of the
intercepted arc.
To measure inscribed angles when the measure of the intercepted
arc is given.
To measure an arc when the measure of the inscribed angle is given.
To recognize congruent inscribed angles (intercept the same arc).
To construct an inscribed square and defend construction.
II. Materials: GSP and pre-constructed visual
helps for lesson
III. Class Directed To: Average 10th
grade geometry.
