An informal survey at your high school revealed that the average couple only "goes steady" for about three weeks. Based on this data, Tom, a new freshman in a class of two hundred, figures he'll have enough time over the next four years to date every girl in his class. The survey also suggested, however, that while guys who had dated five or less girls were considered cool, for every girl over five that a guy dated, the less likely he was to get any more dates. How can Tom maximize the number of girls he dates in high school?
