POW #1

Sandra has a really heavy courseload this semester and she worries that she won't be able to dedicate as much time to all of her classes as she would like. But since she'll be applying to college next year, she knows it's important to keep all of her grades up. Sandra wants to devise an easy way to keep track of her average to know how much effort she wants to put into each assignment. Can she use her running GPA to estimate how well she wants to do on future assignments? Assume she is taking six classes.

Can you show what she would need to maintain a 4.0 overall? a 3.5? a 3.0?

This problem should also be solvable on the TI-82, but I am still in the process of figuring out exactly how.
