MATH 1431 – Spring 2003 – Project 2

Due: 30 July 2003

All data should be related to your major/field. The data should come from professional journals/websites or other approved source. Each graph should be submitted on a separate page. Photocopy and cite the data (using APA style – see link on the website). Use complete, grammatically-correct sentences.

Instructions if you want to work individually:

1. Find a data set (that is not already graphed) with at least three (3) quantitative variables. Develop and submit at least four graphs that describe important features of the data set. Analyze the data. (4 points for the relevant data set; 2 points for citation; 8 points for appropriate graphs with labels that describe the data; 4 points for explanation of why the graphs show important features of data; 7 points for completely analyzing the data). You may use technology to graph the data (e.g., a spreadsheet).
