The scatterplot seems to have an outlier near the bottom of the graph and an influential point on the far–right of the graph. The rest of the points are clustered together. With the outliers included, the variables seem to have a weak negative association. Without the outliers, the variables seem to have very little or no association.

The correlation coefficient is r = –0.48. The correlation coefficient (without the outliers) is r = –0.27.
