  1. Use 2–PropZTest. Let α = 0.05. The hypotheses are: H0: p1 = p2 and Ha: p1p2. The P–value = 1.048011E–12 which is essentially zero. Since P–value ≤ α/2, we reject H0 and accept Ha. This means there is a difference between the proportion of Republicans and the proportion of Democrats who favor the President's economic policy.

  2. Use 2–PropZInt. The 95% CI for the 2 sample proportion is 0.17453 to 0.30047.
