How I Got Here

I chose Georgia, Agnes Scott College, for a place to settle for a while. My degree was BA in math. I then married a Naval Officer and moved more. We were in Newport, RI, when I worked for Raytheon in the days of "horse-and-buggy" computers. I progammed several huge mainframes, the biggest at the USN/USL in New London ,CT. (I could overflow it's capacity constantly)

There were years of "Happy Little Housewife" but always the need to do something. The something had to match the hours of my kids, so it was teaching. After a year at West Georgia to get certified, I student taught in a high school. I began teaching at a junior high school in Walton County. The situation, with a supportive principal, convinced me that I was meant to be a teacher.

When our school was replaced by a new middle school, I considered transfering to high school math. So here I am...
