Exploring the orthic triangle of a given triangle.
First the students will need to construct the altitudes of the given triangle.

Secondly the students will need to construct segments connecting the feet of the altitudes.
This is you orthic triangle.

The students should be looking at the perimeter of the orthic triangle. The should be lead to the idea of comparing other inscribed triangle perimeters. The orthic triangle has the least perimeter of any inscribed triangle.
