Michelle Marie Lowry

Michelle Lowry was born in Brunswick, Georgia on April 20, 1970. She graduated from Brunswick High School in 1988. She then attended Brunswick College for two years and furthered her education at the University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Mathematics Education in 1992. She is currently working on her Masters degree in Mathematics education with the help of the Hope Scholarship.

Michelle's career started at Brunswick College where she worked part time as a math tutor. During college, she worked at the Mother Center taking care of small children. This love of math and children led her to choose math education as a major. After college, she was an instuctor at Sylvan Learning Center - tutoring kids in math and reading. She was also a substitute teacher for Clarke County. In the winter of 1994, she entered the graduate program and student taught at Oglethorpe County High School. She taught summer school in Barrow County in 1994. In the fall of 1994, she started teaching at Elbert County Comprehensive High School where she is currently employed.

(I was married on December 15, 1996 to my best friend, Jeffrey Stephen Brantley. Therefore, I am now Michelle Marie Brantley!)
