My name is Cathy Perkins. I was born in Athens, Georgia on May 26, 1973. I have lived in Barrow County, Georgia since that time. My parents are Tommy and Carolyn Perkins, and they are also natives of Barrow County. I have an older sister, Toni, and a black cocker spaniel named Mikey.

I atttended public school in Barrow County and graduated from Winder-Barrow High School in 1991. I received my Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics Education from the University of Georgia in Athens in June of 1995. I am currently a graduate student in the Mathematics Education Department at UGA. I hope to complete my Master's Degree in the spring of 1996 and begin teaching mathematics in a Northeast Georgia high school in the fall.
