Assessment Strategies: Parametric Equations

Throughout the unit various strategies are used to assess the effectiveness of the instruction. A description of these strategies is included in each section of the unit. Did students master the objectives for each lesson? How well? What was good and what could be improved? These questions are always part of the teaching-learning process.

Student presentations and journals are used to evaluate the investigative activity at the beginning of the unit. Guided practice and independent practice problems are used on a daily basis. Feedback is given to students. By analyzing common errors feedback is also given to the teacher. On the concluding test, scores range from 60% to 100%.
