MILLION DROPS OF WATER

BY

ANGIE, BETH, AND TEISHA

PROBLEM

If you had a million drops of water, would you be more likely to

- drink it?
- bathe in it?
- or swim in it?

SOLUTION

We found somewhere that 10 drops of water was approximately 1 milliliter.
So,

10 = 1 mL
10,000 = 1 L
1,000,000 = 100 L.

Since, we know that

3.5 L = 1 gal

then,

1,000,000 = 100 L = 28.57 gal.

This is too much water to drink and not enough to swim in. So, you would most likely bathe in one million drops of water.
