Marianne V. Parsons

In May 2003, I received my Bachelor of Architecture degree from Virginia Tech. As an undergrad, I participated in the VT Women's Rugby Club for two seasons and the VT University Symphony for three semesters. During my fourth year I spent the fall semester living in Riva San Vitale, Switzerland, studying architecture with 15 of my friends and our professor. We traveled through France, Switzerland, and Italy and had a wonderful time.

After graduation, and after finishing my thesis, I moved to Atlanta to find a job. While working at a local architecture firm for almost a year, I decided to return to school for my Masters Degree in Mathematics Education! Architecture is still very interesting to me, but my passion and excitement lies with teaching and with mathematics.

So, I will be here at UGA for two years to complete my program. While I will always be a HOKIE at heart, I love the University of Georgia!
