Directions:
Use GSP to construct various triangles to help investigate the
following questions
Describe the relationship between the given
sides and/or angles of a triangle that would require the use of
the Law or Sines or the Law of Cosines to determine the measures
of the missing sides and/or angles in the triangle.
What relationship between the given sides or angles of a triangle
would require the use of the Law or Sines to determine the measures
of the missing sides or angles? Which would require the use of
the Law of Cosines to determine the measures of the missing sides
or angles?
Determine for which triangles the Law of Sines
can be used and for which triangles the Law of Cosines can be
used to determine the missing angles/sides. Justify answers.
Develop problems in which the Law of Sines or the Law of Cosines
is used to determine the missing angles and sides of the triangles.
