Something about me...
I am a native of Jackson, Mississippi. After graduating from high school,
I attended Spelman College(a
great school!) in Atlanta, Georgia. I graduated from Spelman in the spring
of 1993 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics. I wasn't very
sure about what career I wanted to pursue, so I went to graduate school
to work on a Master of Arts degree in Mathematics at the University of South
Florida in Tampa. While studying for my master's degreee, I was required
to teach lower level math classes. It was then I discovered I wanted to
teach mathematics. After graduating from USF, I worked as a Mathematics
Instructor at Valdosta State University for two years. Recently, I decided
to go back to school to pursue a Ph.D. in Mathematics Education, so I moved
back to Atlanta. Presently, I am a working on an advanced degree at the
University of Georgia in Mathematics Education while working at Spelman
College.
On a more personal note, I've been happily married to a Morehouse
Man (Mario) for 2 years and I have a black cat named Malcolm.
