My name is Avijit Kar. I am a first year doctoral student in the Departmentof Mathematics Education at theUniverstiy of Georgia.I was born in Bangladesh. After finishing my high school there, I came to USA for my undergraduate studies at age 17. I completed my Bachelors at University of Nebraska in Computer Science, then Masters in Mathematics at Universtiy of Florida. Then I went off for teaching for several years. I have been teaching at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College in Tifton, GA for last 7 years. Now I have decided to be back to graduate school for my Doctoral works. Besides teaching, I have almost 7 years experience in tutoring at college level in both one on one and online basis. I have also taught for Upward Bound program at University of Florida for 2 years.
I love to travel and I am a huge sports fan. I have travel several countries and almost half of the states in US. I love watching football, tennis, soccer, and cricket. I guess most of the sports are known to you except for the last one. Here is a link to know more about Cricket.
