A Little Something About Me...
My name is Stephanie Henderson. I am a Georgia Tech graduate, where I got my B.S. degree in management. While working on that degree, I was substitute teaching at Grayson High School. While subbing, I fell in love with the high school math classroom. GA Tech doesn't have an education program, so I decided to go ahead and finish my business degree and pursue my teaching license through an alternative method. I graduated from GA Tech on August 4, 2006, and I began working full-time at Grayson High School on August 7, 2006. I've been at Grayson High School for two full school years now, where I am the first GHS alumni to return to GHS as a teacher. I am continuing to teach at Grayson while I work toward my M.Ed. in mathematics at UGA.
On a personal note, I live in Snellville, in the same house I started kindergarten in. I have one sibling - Phil - who is finishing his sophomore year at UGA. This is the first time he and I have attended the same school at the same time since I was in 5th grade and he was in 1st grade - a huge excitement for our mom. I live with my parents still, as working full-time and going to school can be a struggle on my own. (I tried it; it didn't go so well.) :P I have a dog, who is a little over a year old. His name is Cooper, and he is mostly sheltie, though he has a little bit of Australian shepherd in him too. He loves to go outside to run, chase squirrels, and play fetch with the million sticks in my backyard. I guess that's about it for now. Please e-mail me if you want to know more! :-)
