If P is located outside of triangle ABC, three
different cases are created.
The
first case occurs when P is located outside of the side opposite
to the greatest angle. In this case, the pedal triangle is an
ordinary triangle.
The second
case occurs when P is located outside either of the other two
sides. In this situation, the Pedal Triangle formed is a degenerate
triangle.
The third
situation occurs when P is located near one of the vertices. In
this case, the Pedal Triangle does not exist.
