Now let’s do (2/3)x=15 sq cm

The picture above is (2/3)x=15 sq cm. Really (2/3)x=(3)(5). Take (1/3) of 3 to get (1)(15)…we are transforming the yellow into the orange to find x. Take (1/3) of 1 to get (1/3)(45). Now take (2) of 1/3 to get (2/3)(45/2) so x=22.5 according to the geometry.
