For this assessment you will need to do some research on the topics that we covered in chapter 11. Here are the choices for topics that must be presented in your portfolio:
1. Measures of interior angles of polygons.
2. Measures of exterior angles of polygons.
3. Area of regular triangles.
4. Area of regular polygons.
5. Circumference of Circles.
6. Arc length of Circles.
7. Area of Circles.
8. Area of Sectors.
9. Geometric probability.
Assignment:
1. Choose 5 of these 9 topics and research real world applications of them.
2. Come up with one real world application for each of the 5 you chose. Present the problem and your solution to the problem in a neat, concise manner. The initial real world situation must be typed. Your solution to the problem may be hand written but it must be neat!
3. Write a one paragraph summary on why you chose the problem, how difficult it was to solve, why it applies to the real world and whether it gave you a better understanding of the material in the chapter.
4. Type a works cited page referencing ALL sources.
This assignment will be graded in the following way:
