What is a medial triangle?
by
Julia Neal
The medial triangle is the triangle
formed by connectiong the midpoints of the three sides of an original
triangle.
This is our original triangle. The
first step is to find the midpoint of each of the triangles
three sides.
These three points will be the vertices
of the medial trianlge. Now we need to connect them to find the
sides of the medial triangle.
This blue triangle is our medial
triangle.
