An Excel Spreadsheet is a very easy way to generate a table of values of graphing functions. The spreadsheet is an efficient way to allow students to focus on the behavior of a function rather than generating the values that create that behavior.
Here is a spreadsheet that generates values that graph f(x) = 3x + 1.
