Graphing Functions

Using Graphing Calulator we can graph the following functions:

Observation:

From the above graphs we can see a pattern beginning to form. When the exponent is even the graph is closed and when the exponent is odd the graph is continuous. Also, the smaller the exponent the more the graph looks like a circle and as the exponent gets larger the graph becomes more like a square.

 

 

 

What do you expect for the graph of

Based on the information gathered above I would expect the graph of the function with exponent of 24 to be closed, but it's shape would favor that of a square. The graph of the function with exponent of 25 will be a continuous line.
