Amy Thompson Benson

I am a graduate student in the Department of Mathematics Education. This is my second year in the master's degree program. I received my undergraduate degree in mathematics education from the University of Georgia in 1998. Upon graduation, I returned to my high school alma mater as a teacher. This is my second year as a teacher at South Gwinnett High School in Snellville, Georgia. I teach A.P. Statistics, Geometry and Newspaper. Next year, I will be working with the yearbook staff instead of the newspaper staff.

My most exciting news in recent months is my marriage to Robert Michael Benson on July 3, 1999. We were married at the Snellvillle United Methodist Church with a reception following the ceremony at Evergreen Resort and Conference Center in Stone Mountain Park. We honeymooned in St. Lucia (home of the waterfall in Romancing The Stone).

We live in Lawrenceville with our dachshund, Oliver.
