MORE GLIDE-REFLECTIONS

 

OBJECTIVES: Students will develop a deeper understanding of this transformation by experimenting with more complicated problems. They will learn how to translate the resulting image back the original object.

II.GLIDE-REFLECTION AGAIN

A. Examine how to return final image back to the original object

B. Perform step A. using only one type of transformation

C. Results

(1) A correctly executed glide-relection

(2) Discovery of the one transformation that will bring the final image back to the original object

III. WRAP-UP

A. Regroup

B. Discuss today's results and other interesting findings
