I am from North Carolina. I know what you're thinking. No, I'm not a mountain hick. Although I have a pretty heavy accent, I'm from the Piedmont. I taught middle school math and science for 7 years and needed a little break, so I figured 6 or 7 years away should do the trick. I moved to Athens in June to begin my endeavors in the graduate program. My ultimate goal is to obtain a doctorate degree in math education.
