On the Road Again with Polar
Equations
On August 30, 1997 I left Logan, Utah
on a week long road trip across the United States. What follows is a "Polar
Representation" of my excursion.

This is an arial view of the intersection of Main and Center
that I drove through as I left Logan, Utah.

Although I searched for several hours,
I failed to find one of these in a field near Cheyenne, Wyoming.

This little guy stayed with me from Bear Lake, Idaho until
I washed my windshield in Littleton, Colorado.

This is all I really remember about the trip through Kansas--

Finally, here is an arial view of a fairly common intersection
in the South.
This particular one is taken right here in Athens just a few
blocks from campus.
I hope you have enjoyed this somewhat
circular cross-country trip. Perhaps I will use spherical coordinates for
the drive back west (assuming we are still using cars when I finish my Doctorate).
