My name is Teresa G. Banker; my Bachelors of Science degree in mathematics is from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA. The Masters degree in mathematics education is from North Georgia College, now called North Georgia College and State University. I completed the Ed. S. degree at the University of Georgia in 1997 and am now working on the Ph. D. degree at UGA. I taught mathematics in the public classroom for 20 years, 3 years at a junior high school in Virginia and 17 years in a Georgia high school.
I am married to Robert Banker; we have two children, Jeff and Missy, both college graduates who have moved further: Jeff is a 2nd Lieutenant in the Air Force and Missy has a law degree from Emory Law School. She is awaiting scores from the bar exam taken recently.
Some of my favorite pastimes are cross stitching, sewing, reading, swimming, snorkeling, and backpacking/ camping. I am an avid scuba diver. We have been "in the water" around Grand Cayman, Tortola, the Florida Keys, and the Red Sea. Check out this link to our personal homepage to see some pictures: http://www.mindspring.com/~thebankers
Our latest news is that we are having a wedding in our family! Jeff is engaged to Ellen Svensson of San Antonio, Texas. They met at their church, Faith Presbyterian, and will be married there on May 26, 2001. After Jeff finishes training on the C-130 in Little Rock, he will be stationed at Elmendorf AFB in Anchorage, Alaska, where he and Ellen will live for the next 3 years or so.
