I am a mathematics teacher at Hart County High School in Hartwell, Georgia. I teach A. P. Calculus, Computer Science/Statistics, and Trigonometry. I have taught for 7.5 years and have had the honor to be selected star teacher in the third year. Our school is in Region 8-AAA.
I am a graduate of the University of Georgia in Athens, Ga. I hold a B.S. degree and a M. Ed. in mathematics education. I was a co-winner of the Kossack Calculus Award at UGA as an undergraduate. I have been a lover of the Calculus ever since my first undergradute courses in the subject. I am currently working on a specialist degree in math education.
I have a wife, Jeanette, and one daughter, Katie. Katie is two years and six months old. My daughter can count to thirty. She knows the alphabet (verbally) and recognizes most written letters readily. If she can read at all before she is three, I will claim she is at least as smart as Gauss was at the same age. Perhaps she will be balancing my checkbook when she is three.
